10.5-cm Dick: Big, Small, or Average?

feature_measuring_tape_4_inches

Is your penis around 10.5 cm (4.13 inches) long? Then you’re probably wondering just how your size stacks up against other penises. How does a 10.5-cm dick compare with the average penis length? Is it close to the average? Smaller? Bigger? We answer all of these questions below, and offer tips for getting the most out of your 10.5-cm penis in bed.

How Big Is a 10.5-cm Dick Compared With the Average?

First off, note that “penis length” typically refers to erect penis length (versus flaccid length). So how big is a hard 10.5-cm penis compared with the average erect length?

According to a recent study on penis size reported in the British Journal of Urology International, the average erect penis size is 5.16 inches (about 13 cm), while the average flaccid size is 3.61 inches (about 9 cm). If flaccid, then, a 10.5-cm dick is slightly above average, but if hard it’s about 2.5 cm below average.

But what about percentile? In this study, a 10.5-cm penis falls between the 5th and 10th percentiles. In other words, 90-95 percent of men have erect penises longer than 10.5 cm. So while a 10.5-cm dick is clearly at the smaller end of the scale, it isn’t unusually small.

Is a 10.5-cm Penis a Micropenis?

The short answer? No, a 10.5-cm penis is not a micropenis.

To fit the definition of a micropenis, a penis must be at least 2.5 standard deviations below the average length. In the study above, 2.5 standard deviations below average (for stretched flaccid length, which is generally similar to erect length) is 8.5 cm. Since 10.5 cm is longer than this, it would not be considered a micropenis here.

But the exact cutoff between small penis and micropenis is ambiguous. One source describes it as any penis less than 3 inches (7.62 cm) long, while another says it’s any dick less than 2.8 inches (7.12 cm) long.

Regardless, a 10.5-cm penis pretty much always exceeds the max length for a micropenis, so, no, you do not have a micropenis if your dick is 10.5 cm long.

How to Have a Great Sex Life With a 10.5-cm Dick

While a 10.5-cm penis isn’t a micropenis, it’s still smaller than most penises. That said, there’s no reason your penis size should have any negative effects on your sex life. Here are four tips to help you make the most of your 4-inch member:

  • Communicate with your partner: Good sex starts with being open about your needs, so spend time figuring out what you want, what your partner wants, and how you’re going to make sex pleasurable for the both of you.
  • Find positions that work well with your penis size: A 10.5-cm dick isn’t super small, but you might find that certain positions work better for your size than others. If you’re having trouble figuring out what works, look at these articles by Bustle and Refinery29 for ideas.
  • Focus on other forms of intimacy: Not everything needs to lead to penetrative sex. Dedicate more time to foreplay, and learn how to use your hands and mouth so that you can please your partner in a variety of ways.
  • Try anal sex: If you’re a straight man, you and your partner might want to consider occasionally swapping vaginal sex for anal sex. Doing this not only shakes up your sex routine but also offers you both totally new (and possibly better) sensations.

Remember, good sex doesn’t depend on penis size but rather enthusiasm and confidence. So don’t shy away from sex—be proud of who you are, get out, and have fun!
